Pipe Relining Concord West, Strathfield South, Cremorne, Drummoyne, Randwick, Earlwood, Alexandria, Bondi, Mosman & Campbelltown.

Pipe Dive January

January is a notoriously quiet month for most trades, and this is no different for relining specialists – usually. This year was a little different though for the Sydney Relining team, as we were kept busy from start to finish across 10 Sydney suburbs including Concord West, Strathfield South, Cremorne, Drummoyne, Randwick, Earlwood, Alexandria, Bondi, Mosman & Campbelltown.

There were some notable jobs, some of which required some innovative work from the team, including ensuring Campbelltown Private Hospital got back online quickly following collapsed sewer and preventing Inner West Church property from flooding due to a similar issue. In both instances, relining was the faster, cheaper, and most effective solution.

However, it is a project in Drummoyne that wakes January’s Job of the Month.

This family home in the harbourside suburb of Drummoyne in Sydney’s Inner West had multiple issues along 30m of 100mm drainage. With the damaged section of pipe running beneath the tiled patio, the owner was naturally keen to avoid digging up the tiles, which would have been disruptive, not to mention expensive.

Our team designed a solution that prevented any above-ground disruption, relining the 30m stretch of drainage using an Evoline system, including one junction which was navigated using Boldan technology.

At the owner’s request, the bearded reliners managed to speed up the process by using steam and hot water, getting his deck back in action just in time for the real summer to start.

Pipe Relining

How does pipe relining work?

Think of relining as feeding an inner tube into the current pipe, then hardening and sealing that tube until it’s stronger than any clay, terracotta, or plastic pipe.

Rather than excavating and replacing the damaged pipe, causing mess and disruption to your property (and your bank balance) – we reline from the surface.

Using the best available Watermark accredited tech and using ultra-strong, impenetrable EPOXY resin, we cause a minimal fuss, often maintaining services and completing most projects within a single day.

The process

  • Investigate – Using CC.TV technology, we investigate the problems and provide you with an itemised quote for the work that needs to be done, taking the time to explain where the budget is being spent and why arming you with the information you need.
  • Prepare – We take time to prepare above and below ground to ensure we cause minimal disturbance by establishing safe work zones and diverting any plumbing systems where possible, avoiding service disruptions.
  • Reline – Only then do we cure and install our impenetrable EPOXY resin using state-of-the-art relining techniques that allow us to accurately pinpoint the damaged section of the pipe, drain or sewer and navigate any bends or junctions.

We create and install a guaranteed 50-year solution with our superior relining products & materials coming with a life expectancy of 50 years and up.

Relining pipes is often more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional pipe replacement. It avoids extensive excavation, which can affect floors, landscaping, driveways, and more.

Yes, relined pipes can be as reliable as new pipes. Relining materials do not corrode, are seamless, and are resistant to water deposits. They are tested and rated for a long life expectancy, often around 50 years.

The costs can vary depending on several factors, including the amount and type of pipe material, and the layout and design of the piping system. However, relining is typically less expensive than traditional pipe replacement methods.

Various materials, including clay, cast iron, PVC, concrete and steel can be relined.

Even if pipes are in bad shape, pipe relining can often restore them. A technician will need to inspect the site to assess the condition of the pipes.

Considering the cost and time associated with traditional excavation methods, pipe relining is indeed cost-effective. It minimizes downtime and the associated costs of not having functional plumbing.

Pipe relining is applicable for residential, commercial, industrial, historical buildings, hospitals, and condominiums. It can be used for lateral sewer lines, drain lines, branch lines, storm drains, vertical stacks, and electrical conduits.
