Pipe Relining Cremorne, Croydon Park, Kensington & Avalon

Pipe Dive April

As many aspects of life ebbed and flowed throughout April, due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, easter & school holidays, the Sydney Relining team have been busier than ever, relining over 120m of pipe and drain across Sydney.

A perfect storm of heavy rainfall throughout March and more people spending more time at home has led to an increase in new faults and fresh motivation to address existing ones.

Our team completed some interesting projects, including a tricky job in Croydon Park requiring over 20 junctions to be relined and a 20m complete inversion reline in Cremorne.

Here are some of our highlights.

Cremorne

This property in Cremorne required over 20m of pipe relining. Using inversion technology from industry leaders EVOLiNE and Boldan, the team completed the project quickly and efficiently.

Croydon Park

With over 20 junctions on the stack branches to navigate, this project was far from straight forward. Working together, the team navigated each intersection using CCTV technology before creating a custom section for each junction.

This huge project took the team over a week to complete. Tenants were subjected to minimal disruptions as all stack lines were temporarily re-diverted while installations took place.

Kensington

Tree roots had affected a large area of the sewer system at the back of the property, including the main bathroom. Before relining could commence, high-pressure jetting was used to clear the blockage and disperse the tree roots.

Once the drain had been cleared, over 15m of pipe needed to be relined. Including multiple bends, along with disjointed and broken pipes, due to the tree root damage. The team had to navigate multiple changes in diameter, floor-wastes and vertical risers.

Once completed, the team left with a grateful customer, who was delighted to have their plumbing back up and running.

Avalon

With a PVC junction cracked and leaking underneath the bathroom, a relining solution allowed the issue to be addressed without ripping up the bathroom tiles and causing costly disruption for the owners.

On further inspection, cracks had started to appear in additional PVC bends due to ground movement, which the team relined to prevent tree roots from entering the pipe.

With minimal disruption, the job was completed quickly to the delight of the owners.

Other Projects Completed

  • Saint Ives (30m relining using inversion, junctions, and patches)
  • Balmain (10m sectional liner, an elderly lady in isolation, full COVID PPE required)
  • Mac Uni (15m sectional liner for a building that had been shutdown incase of hygiene issues)
  • Bondi Beach (technical patch downstream of boundary trap for apartment block)
  • Kingsford (15m including floor-waste liners and robotic cutouts for a special needs residence)
  • Annandale (10m difficult reline of boundary trap down to Sydney Water’s Main)
  • Northmead (Technical junction liner installed under a special needs bathroom)
  • Bexley (15m inversion of downstream to the main, complete reline of the boundary trap also)

The Advantages of Pipe Relining for Efficient Pipe Repairs

Pipe relining is a modern, trenchless method for repairing damaged or leaking pipes without the need for invasive excavation. This innovative technique involves inserting a flexible, resin-coated liner into the affected pipe, which is then inflated and cured to form a new, durable pipe within the existing one. The result is a seamless and corrosion-resistant pipe that not only restores the structural integrity of your plumbing system but also improves flow efficiency. By choosing Pipe Relining, you can extend the lifespan of your pipes, prevent future damage, and minimise the risk of costly repairs down the line.

Embracing Pipe Relining as a preferred solution for pipe repairs offers several benefits, including reduced costs, minimal disruptions, and enhanced environmental sustainability. Since there’s no need for large-scale digging, Pipe Relining helps you save up to 50% in repair expenses compared to traditional methods, while also reducing the time and resources required for the job. Furthermore, the trenchless nature of Pipe Relining significantly lessens the impact on your property and the surrounding environment, preserving your garden, landscaping, and infrastructure. By opting for Pipe Relining, you’re investing in a long-lasting, efficient, and eco-friendly solution for maintaining the health of your plumbing system.
