Bandaids Break. Relining Lasts.

It is an age-old problem for property owners (and managers). To spend less money now and get things working, or pay a little more and do the job right?

In the grand scheme of things, it is a no-brainer; why pay more in the long run? However, life is peppered with financial pressures and surprise expense, meaning that sometimes there is little option but to put a band-aid on and pray that it lasts. Unfortunately, where your plumbing is concerned, the risks of waiting to reline can significantly outweigh the short term pain of relining immediately.

As a pipe becomes more and more compromised (usually by aggressively encroaching tree roots), it begins to lose its structural integrity, and the smallest of cracks are enough to encourage further infiltration and disruption due to the science that resides in your plumbing.

Each time your plumber waterjets the roots to clear the line fixing the immediate problem, they are unknowingly increasing the anaerobic and high growth environment the roots have to flourish. This encourages growth in an already damaged pipe, increasing the risk of the pipe collapsing completely, causing much more damage and in turn, expense.

We have witnessed damaged pipes collapse on many occasions over the 30 years we have been relining Sydney’s drains, pipes and sewers, many of which require a full excavation to fix. All too often, they could have been avoided by relining at the start saving the owner money and everyone involved a noisy, smelly headache induced by the excavation of the collapsed line.

We believe in full transparency and always take the time to explain the pros and cons of each option (relining & excavation) with our customers before they make a decision. This is one of the many reasons we have been successfully looking after Sydney’s plumbing for over 20 years.
